APPLICATION
We only use the highest quality 100% Human Hair, hand stitched in thin lines, pre-cut to the shape of your head. The hair is attached using small protective lined micro rings. This method is very safe for your natural hair; it is a simple method that is easy to adjust as the hair grows out and reliable for both client and technician. Attachment by stitching onto a braided track (weft) is also available.
MAINTENANCE
Clients should not brush directly on the attachment, as it will pull out and destroy the extensions. Brushing should begin about 2cm away from the micro rings. The key to long term gorgeous hair is MOISTURE...... the more the better. You can use any shampoo and conditioner you like, just ensure that the product is made for “DRY” hair - as it has EXTRA MOISTURE to feed the extensions and keep them super soft for longer. Always brush the hair before you shower - and after - by holding the hair while your brush, to minimise the tugging on the micro rings. Style as usual. We recommend that you put your hair in a loose plat before you go to sleep. This will minimise tangles from tossing and turning during the night.
TOUCH UPS + RE-CLIPS
Approximately every 6-8 weeks, the micro clips will need to be removed and replaced. This is due to a combination of the natural hair growing and tugging from hair brushing and styling, which moves the clip attachment away from the scalp. During this time the hair extensions need to be clipped close to the scalp, as per the initial application. If the hair has been well taken care of, you can re-use it for up to 12 months.
COLOUR + CUTS
Style cutting the hair extensions is highly recommended to make them look as natural as possible! The hair extensions should NEVER be bleeched (or lightened) in any way. This will destroy the protective treatment on the hair, which keeps them looking shinny and amazing. It is OK to deposit colour (make it darker), as this is not as harsh. It is recommend that only a fully qualified hairdresser colour the hair extensions, as take home colour boxes are higher in amonia and can damage the hair.
